Mumbai: Manasi Ghosh, a 24-year-old singer from Kolkata, has won the 15th season of Indian Idol, beating fellow finalists Subhajit Chakraborty and Sneha Shankar. Hosted by Aditya Narayan, the grand finale featured judges Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah, with special appearances by Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Mika Singh. Manasi walked away with the coveted trophy, a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh, and a brand-new car. Her victory has been widely celebrated, with fans praising her consistent performances and emotional depth throughout the season.
Manasi’s journey in music began early, and she committed to it professionally while still in the eighth grade. She has trained extensively in singing and was previously the runner-up in Super Singer Season 3. Coming from a modest background, she took on financial responsibilities from a young age, with her parents proudly recalling her promise to “buy them many houses.” Apart from her television success, Manasi enjoys a strong online presence, with over 157,000 followers on Instagram and a growing YouTube channel. She is now poised to enter Bollywood with a duet alongside Lalit Pandit and Shaan, and is also set to collaborate with music producer Badshah.
