Gangster Rohit Godara claims responsibility for crude bomb blasts outside Gurugram club

Gurugram: On December 12, gangster Rohit Godara, an ally of the Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gangs, claimed responsibility for a crude bomb blast that occurred outside a club in Gurugram’s Sector 29.

In a Facebook post, Godara warned that the recent explosions were only minor and suggested that they had the capability to carry out much larger attacks. He stated, “Ram-Ram Jai Shri Ram to all, I, Rohit Godara, Bikaner, Goldy Brar, have caused the bomb blasts outside two clubs in Chandigarh and two days ago in Gurugram Sector 29. Gambling bookmakers, hawala traders, and dance clubs making crores of rupees daily will have to pay taxes. This is just a small demonstration to open your ears. We can create an even bigger explosion to destroy such clubs. Don’t take this as a warning; we do what we say. Those who exploit the poor and evade taxes will have to face consequences.”

Following the incident, police apprehended 27-year-old Sachin Taliyan from Chhur village in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Taliyan, said to be a supporter of Goldy Brar, was placed in police custody for seven days. Preliminary investigations indicated that he was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

The police are currently gathering information on others involved in the explosion. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Vikas Arora, Commissioner of Gurugram Police, visited the crime scene shortly after the blasts. Gurugram’s bomb disposal team responded and successfully defused two live bombs that were found in Taliyan’s possession. Damage was reported on a scooter and a signboard due to the blasts.

A senior officer, wishing to remain anonymous, noted that significant information was obtained from the interrogation of the arrested suspect, revealing that more individuals may be involved, and arrests are anticipated soon.
