Amritsar, July 15: The Golden Temple in Punjab has received bomb threats for the second consecutive day. This threat was received via email, which said that the pipes are filled with RDX. In view of this, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and Amritsar Police have become alert. The SGPC has tightened the security of the Golden Temple.

SGPC Secretary Pratap Singh said that some mischievous elements have threatened that the Golden Temple will be blown up with a bomb. Those who are threatening are not just talking about the Golden Temple, they are also talking about blowing up religious places of all religions. These people who are threatening have no religion. They do this to create a sense of fear among people.

Pratap Singh said-

The government should arrest the person who threatened them. The devotees are coming to pay obeisance as before. People are listening to kirtan in the Gurughar. I request the devotees that this is the Guru’s temple and even thinking like this here is a sin. Whoever has given this threat, it is the government’s duty to trace him and give him the harshest punishment. It is also the duty of the police administration and the Centre to arrest them. This is the place where we get the message of peace and unity. People of every religion come here and pay obeisance. This is a conspiracy to break away from religion and destroy unity.
