Manali, May 5: A Volvo bus overturned in Manali, Himachal Pradesh this morning. Eight to ten tourists are said to be travelling in the Haryana number bus. One person has sustained minor injuries. All others are said to be safe.
This accident happened near 17 mile on Kullu-Manali National Highway at around 6:30 am today. It is being told that the Volvo bus number HR47G0011 went out of control and overturned on the side of the road.
The cause of the accident is said to be high speed.
Passengers were sent to Manali by another bus
By the time the local administration came to know about the incident and reached the spot, all the passengers in the bus were shifted to another bus.
Due to this, the police could not find the driver and conductor of the bus on the spot. Due to this, the police could not get complete information about the accident nor could they get the correct number of passengers travelling in the bus. Till now it is not known where the passengers travelling in the bus were from.
The police have contacted the owner of the bus. But the owner of the bus is also unable to contact the driver-conductor as their phones are switched off.
It is being told that all the tourists were going to visit Manali.
