Shimla: The weather continues to wreak havoc in Himachal Pradesh. IMD has once again issued an alert for heavy rain and snowfall. The Meteorological Department estimates that the Western Disturbance is once again becoming active in the state, due to which there may be heavy rain in the state.

Orange alert for heavy rain

IMD has issued an orange ; alert for heavy rain for Chamba and Kangra districts on March 3. The remaining 10 districts have a yellow alert. According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, there will be light rain and snowfall at some places on March 2. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain and snowfall at many places on March 3.

4-6 degree increase in maximum temperature

There will be fluctuations in the temperature as well. By March 2, the minimum temperature will fall by 3-5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature will rise by 4-6 degrees. After this, a fall of 3-5 degrees is possible in the next 2-3 days.

Rain and snowfall due to western disturbance

According to scientist Sandeep Kumar Sharma of Meteorological Center Shimla, heavy rain and snowfall has occurred in the upper areas in the last 24 hours. Heavy rain was recorded in Kullu, Kangra and Mandi. This situation was created due to the western disturbance that became active on 25 February. Another western disturbance will become active on 2 March, the effect of which will be visible on 3 March. It is a matter of relief that the weather is expected to be clear in the state from 5 March.

Yellow alert for Kullu and Mandi

There is an orange alert for heavy rain and snowfall in Kangra, Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti. A yellow alert has been issued for Kullu and Mandi. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in the remaining districts including Shimla.
