India clinches 4th T20 series victory against England

Pune: India defeated England in the fourth T20 match by 15 runs in Pune. With this, the team also won the 5th consecutive T20 series against England. England had won the last series in 2014. India’s concussion substitute Harshit Rana and spinners together took 9 wickets. This also made the difference between victory and defeat.

England chose to bowl at the MCA stadium on Friday. India scored 181 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dubey scored 53-53 runs. Saqib Mahmood took 3 wickets. England’s team was all out after scoring 166 runs in 19.4 overs. Harry Brook scored a fifty. Harshit and Ravi Bishnoi took 3-3 wickets.

With the end of the fourth T20 match, India took an unassailable lead in the series. The fifth T20 match of the series will be played in Mumbai on February 15. India had won the first and second matches as well. While England had won the third match.

Player of the Match

Shivam Dubey received the Player of the Match award for playing an innings of 53 runs in 34 balls. When Dubey came to bat, the team had lost 4 wickets for 57 runs. Here Dubey hit 2 sixes against Adil Rashid and made an important partnership of 87 runs for the sixth wicket with Hardik Pandya.

Dubey could not field due to a ball hitting his head while batting. In his place Harshit Rana had to come on the field as a concussion substitute. He took 3 big wickets and put the match in India’s bag.

After a bad start, India scored a big score

After losing the toss and batting first, Team India lost 3 wickets for 12 runs. Abhishek Sharma scored 29 and Rinku Singh scored 30 runs. After losing 5 wickets for 79 runs, Shivam Dubey and Hardik Pandya made a partnership of 87 runs.

Hardik and Dubey played innings of 53-53 runs. On the basis of both the innings, the team scored 181 runs after losing 9 wickets. From England, Saqib Mahmood took 3 wickets and Jamie Overton took 2 wickets. Adil Rashid and Brydon Carse got 1-1 wickets, while 2 batsmen were also run out.
