Jalandhar DC Aggarwal’s message on National Voter’s Day: Says EC was established on this day

Chandigarh: Today, on National Voter’s Day in the country, the DC of Jalandhar district of Punjab issued a message for the district residents and shared information about the changes in the work of the Election Commission. Also told how an 18-year-old child can get his vote made and use it.

Jalandhar DC Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said- I wish the entire district residents a very happy National Voter’s Day on 25 January. The Election Commission of India was established on 25 January 1950. In view of the importance of this day, this day is being celebrated as National Voter’s Day since the year 2011. The importance of this day is to make people aware, so that they can use their vote impartially according to their needs and choose their leader.

DC Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said- In this regard, many facilities have been provided by the Election Commission of India. Many campaigns were run to make the voters of the country aware. Also, from the year 2011 till today, the Election Commission of India has brought many helpful means. Through which they can say anything regarding their complaint and take advantage. The Election Commission created the C-Vigil app to convey any kind of information to the Election Commission.

DC said- Now votes can be made on four dates

DC Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said- Earlier, votes could be made only on January 1, but now the Election Commission has kept not one day in a year, but a total of four dates. In which the dates are January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1. People will be able to get their new votes made on these dates. Whenever a citizen is more than 18 years old, he can get his new vote made on these dates. In the end, DC Agarwal congratulated the people of the district.
