Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has suspended Ms. Vibha Rana, Civil Judge (Junior Division), Ludhiana, in connection with disciplinary proceedings initiated following a complaint dated April 28, 2023. The complaint was filed by Ms. Himani and other residents of Delhi.
According to an official order issued by the Registrar General on behalf of the Hon’ble Chief Justice and Judges, the suspension has been made under Article 235 of the Constitution of India read with Rule 4 of the Punjab Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1970.
During her suspension, Ms. Rana’s headquarters will be Moga, and she is not permitted to leave the location without prior approval from the District & Sessions Judge, Moga.
She will receive subsistence allowance equivalent to the leave salary she would have earned on half-pay leave, along with applicable allowances, as per the Punjab Civil Services Rules.
