Ludhiana: Drunk vendor sets neighbor’s food carts on fire, Two Cylinder exploded

Ludhiana: Last night, a fire broke out at 3 am in Chowpatty near Bhamia Road Trikon Park in Ludhiana. Three fast food carts were burnt to ashes due to the fire. Two LPG cylinders kept in the carts also exploded. People informed the fire brigade this morning. The fire brigade vehicles controlled the fire and brought it under control. As per initial information, the matter is of mutual enmity.

Giving information, Simran said that three of his carts are set up in Chowpatty in the name of Brothers Food Point. Along with them, another cart is set up by the name of Food Point which is run bya woman and her child. It is said that the woman’s husband often creates a ruckus in Chowpatty after drinking alcohol. Yesterday late at night too, that person abused some women who had come to Chowpatty under the influence of alcohol. When he was stopped from doing so, the person created lot of ruckus.

He went to the police station to complain about the said person. At around 3 o’clock in the night, he got a call from a newspaper supplier passing through the area who told him that his carts were on fire. When Simran reached the spot, all three carts had turned to ashes. 2 cylinders kept in the carts had also exploded.

The police also raided the house of the person who set the carts on fire this morning but he is absconding. According to Simran, he has suffered a loss of more than one and a half lakhs.
