Punjab: Ludhiana’s notorious gangster Gagandeep Singh alias Gary Lalton alias Ravan was caught by the police in an encounter. Gary was taken to recover a pistol hidden in Bhattian area. After reaching there, he opened fire on the police team.
In retaliation, SHO Tarvinder Bedi of City Thana-2 shot Gary in the leg. The injured gangster has been admitted to Khanna Civil Hospital. This action has been taken after the gang war that took place on June 15.
There was firing between two gangs
That day, there was a shootout between Gary Lalton and Sukhvir Bhuchi gang near Greenland Hotel in Khanna. Friendship with a girl became the reason for this fight. Four accused including Gary were arrested in this case.
Several sections including attack on police were imposed
SSP Dr. Jyoti Yadav said that Gary has been involved in many criminal cases. Police have imposed several sections against him including Arms Act and attack on police. More names may come out during interrogation.
