Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough, the Moga Police arrested associates of two major gangsters. As per Police, total of four associates of 2 gangs have been arrested by the Moga Police. Arms have also been recovered by the police along with the arrest of associates. DGP Gaurav Yadav has shared information the above-mentioned information through a post on X.

He said that Moga Police arrested an associate of foreign-based Lucky Patiyal connected to the Bambiha Gang. Along with the associate, 3 illegal weapons were also recovered by the Moga Police. In a different operation, Police apprehended 3 associates of Manpreet Singh alias Mani. Manpreet Singh has links with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police also recovered a total 3 illegal weapons from them.
In total, 4 associates of 2 gangs were arrested with a recovery of 6 illegal weapons. As per police, the arrested accused were planning to target a businessman in Moga for extortion.
Police have registered 2 FIRs in the case and an investigation is going on to establish backward and forward links to nab further associates.
DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police is committed to destroy the organized criminal network and maintain peace and harmony in the state.
