MP CM conducts surprise inspection at night shelters in Bhopal

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made a surprise visit to several night shelters across Bhopal in the early hours of Saturday, engaging with the residents at these facilities.

During his inspection at Yadgar-e-Shahjahan Park, the Chief Minister inquired about the living conditions of the individuals sheltering there and distributed blankets to ensure their comfort during the chilly weather.

Among those he spoke with were Karodilal Prajapati, Hashib Khan, Sanju Kushwaha, Ravi Sharma, and Pratap Malviya. Feedback gathered by the CM indicated that while the arrangements were generally satisfactory, there was a strong suggestion for food provisions.

In response, CM Yadav directed the Bhopal administration to implement a ‘Ram-Roti’ food program across all night shelters to ensure nobody goes hungry.

Pratap Malviya shared his situation, explaining that he frequents the shelter due to homelessness while caring for his four daughters. Taking this into account, the Chief Minister ordered the Collector to provide him with appropriate assistance.

Later, CM Yadav visited another night shelter near platform number 6 at the Bhopal railway station, where he interacted with the people and continued distributing blankets.

On his way back, he noticed a group of women who were vegetable sellers planning to sleep outdoors. Concerned for their safety, he stopped to check on them, distributed more blankets, and instructed the Collector to arrange suitable accommodation for them.

Yadav emphasized his government’s commitment to helping every individual in need, stating, “Our priority is that no one should face any trouble in this cold weather.”
