Myanmar: Around 43 people have been buried under debris in Myanmar after an earthquake of 7.7 magnitude struck Myanmar at 11:50 am on Friday.
According to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers and its epicenter was located near Mandalay city.
Reports reaching several temples including houses built in Mandalay city were destroyed in this earthquake.
The impact of the earthquake was felt till Thailand’s capital Bangkok. A 30-storey building under construction has collapsed here. At least 43 people are reported to be trapped in it.
Hundreds of people in different areas rushed out of their homes and offices in panic. Due to the massive destruction, Bangkok Prime Minister Pyitongtarn Shinawatra has declared a state of emergency.
