PM Modi leaves for Delhi from America: Trump said- Modi is a better negotiator than me

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has left for Delhi after finishing his US tour. PM Modi reached the White House at 3 am on Friday night to meet US President Donald Trump. Both the leaders stayed together for about two and a half hours. During this time bilateral talks took place between the two. Trump-Modi spoke to the media twice.

Trump praised Modi on the tariff issue and called him a tough negotiator. He said that PM Modi is his good friend and he is doing a good job. He is a better negotiator than me.

Trump announced to give F-35 fighter jets to India. Along with this, he also talked about sending Tahavvur Rana, the terrorist of 2008 Mumbai attack, to India.

At the same time, PM Modi congratulated Trump on being elected the President of America for the second time. Modi said that it is a matter of happiness that I have got the opportunity to work with Trump again. The meeting between me and Trump means that one and one make eleven.

Key points of Modi’s statement …

Illegal immigrants

Those who live illegally in other countries have no legal right to stay there. We have always said that we are ready to bring back those who are citizens of India and are living illegally in the US.

Human trafficking

It is done by showing big dreams to people from ordinary families. Most of them are brought here by misleading them. Both America and India should try to eradicate this system from its roots.

Terrorism

We agree that concrete action must be taken to eliminate terrorism emanating from across the border. I applaud the decision to extradite a genocide offender to India.

The world’s view on the Russia-Ukraine war

India’s own view is peace. The solution to problems does not come through war. It comes only through discussions on the table. I fully support the peace initiative taken by President Trump.

4 important points of Trump’s statement …

Tariff

We have discussed every aspect in this meeting. We will continue to develop strategic partnership with India. India imposes 70% tariff.

Khalistan

I don’t think India had good relations with the Biden administration. Many things happened which were not right. We will work together with India to control crime.

How will we defeat China by being strict with India ?

In response to this, he said- We can defeat anyone, but we do not think about defeating anyone.

Trade deficit with India

We can very easily bridge the deficit gap with the sale of oil, gas and LNG. For this, we have signed an important agreement.

There is no talk on Adani issue

The media asked PM Modi whether there was any discussion on Gautam Adani ‘s case in the meeting with President Trump . To this he said that for such personal matters the heads of the two countries neither meet, nor sit nor talk.

What is the matter- Adani’s company is accused of illegally acquiring solar renewable energy projects in India. For this, it planned to bribe government officials with $250 million i.e. about Rs 2,029 crore. Apart from this, it collected money by lying to American investors and banks.
