PM Modi to reach Bhubaneswar today on three-day Odisha visit

PM Modi Highlights Government's Efforts to Propel Odisha's Prosperity

Bhubaneswar: All arrangements have been finalized for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar, where he will attend the three-day DG/IGP conference from November 29 to December 1.

PM Modi is expected to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 4:20 p.m. today. After being welcomed by party leaders, a brief felicitation ceremony will take place near the airport at 4:30 p.m. He will then depart for the Governor’s house at 5:05 p.m., where he will be welcomed by cultural performances and traditional music along the route to Raj Bhawan, as noted by Golak Mohapatra, Vice-President of the Odisha BJP.

Later, Modi will arrive at the BJP state office at 6:30 p.m. for a meeting with party MLAs, MPs, ministers, and core committee members. Following this, he will have dinner and participate in a photo session with party leaders before heading back to Raj Bhawan at 8:30 p.m.

During the meeting, PM Modi is expected to discuss various development issues and welfare schemes initiated by the state government. Mohapatra emphasized that this visit is historic, as it marks the first time a Prime Minister will spend three days in Odisha.

The Prime Minister will participate in the DG/IGP conference on November 30 and December 1.

Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh stated that strict security measures are in place to monitor any potential threats from anti-national elements during the conference. Over 70 police platoons have been deployed to ensure safety throughout the event, which is being supported by personnel from the Odisha Police and Central Armed Police Forces.

Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, senior Intelligence Bureau officials, DGPs from various states, the Director-General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and heads of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), National Security Guard (NSG), and Special Protection Group (SPG) will arrive in Bhubaneswar ahead of PM Modi’s arrival.
