New Inducted Minister

The oath ceremony will take place at Raj Bhawan tomorrow at 5 pm. Mohinder Bhagat, the MLA of Jalandhar West, confirmed that he has received a call from the CM and will be reaching Chandigarh tomorrow at 12 noon.

This is the fourth reshuffle in the three-month tenure of the Punjab government. So far, there are 15 ministers in the cabinet including CM Bhagwant Mann. There can be a total of 18 ministers in the council of ministers.

There has been a long-standing discussion about a potential reshuffle in the Punjab cabinet. Following the recent Lok Sabha elections, Barnala MLA Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has been elected as an MP.

He has since resigned from his position, which included serving as the Sports Minister in the government. Consequently, there is a possibility of a new appointment to fill his position, as well as the addition of four more ministers to the cabinet.
