Punjab Police nab key aide of Gangster Sonu Khatri in Kharar attack case

Chandigarh, May 8: In a major breakthrough, Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in a joint operation with SAS Nagar Police, apprehended Harjinder Singh, a key associate of foreign-based gangster Rajesh Kumar alias Sonu Khatri. The accused was wanted in a case involving an armed attack on rival gang members at “Future Heights” in Kharar.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Harjinder Singh was receiving instructions directly from his handler abroad and was actively planning a sensational crime in Punjab. His arrest marks a critical step in our sustained crackdown on gangster networks operating with cross-border linkages. Further investigation is underway to unravel the complete network and establish forward and backward linkages.

Police recovered One pistol (.30 bore) with 4 live cartridges & Two pistols (.32 bore) with 10 live cartridges. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the network.
