Taxi driver murder case solved, accused arrested from UP

Ludhiana, August 12: Solving the taxi driver murder case, the Khanna police arrested the accused and recovered a pistol along with two magazines and six live cartridges from his possession. The police have also recovered the robbed car of the victim Ravi Kumar of Ram Darbar of Phase 1 of Chandigarh.

The accused has been identified as Satpal (50) of Ram Darbar of Phase 1 of Chandigarh.

According to the police, the accused belong to the same locality of the victim and had a rivalry against him due to which he planned the murder. However, the police are further investigating the matter.

SSP – Khanna Ashwani Gotyal said that the accused have arrested from village Mansoorpur of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh and the robbed Alto car has been recovered from the parking area of old tehsil in Dera Bassi.
