Temperature drops after snowfall in Himachal

Shimla: After rain and snowfall in the higher regions of Himachal Pradesh, the Western Disturbance (WD) has weakened today. Due to this, the weather has become clear in most parts of the state today. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain and snowfall is forecast only in high altitude areas today. Sun will shine in medium high and low areas.

If IMD is to be believed, light rain and snowfall may occur in high and medium altitude areas from 18 to 20 January. During this time, the weather will be clear in the lower areas. Western Disturbance will be stronger on 21 and 22 January. Due to this, there is a forecast of good rain and snowfall in the mountains.

Temperature of Seobagh fell by 11 degrees in 24 hours

At the same time, after yesterday’s snowfall, a huge drop in the temperature of the state has been recorded. The average maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 7.7 degrees from normal during 24 hours. The maximum temperature of Seobagh has recorded a maximum drop of 11 degrees and the mercury has remained at 5.8 degrees.

Temperature of Una decreases by 10.6 degrees

The maximum temperature of Una has also dropped to 13.6 degrees Celsius after a drop of 10.6 degrees in 24 hours. The temperature of Rekong Peon has dropped to 2.2 degrees after a drop of 10.4 degrees, and the temperature of Bharmour has dropped to 1.7 degrees Celsius after a drop of -10.7 degrees. Similarly, the temperature of other cities has also decreased.

Yellow alert of fog in 5 districts

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of dense fog in the plains of the state today. This warning has been given to Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Mandi and Kangra districts. Visibility in these districts can drop to 50 meters from morning to afternoon.
