A car crashed late Tuesday night in Himachal’s capital Shimla. Four people, including a mother and daughter, died in the accident. Two children are also among the dead. The police have registered a case and started further action.
According to the police, the car fell into a ditch around 9 pm on Tuesday night. There were four people in it. All people died on the spot in this accident. This accident occurred near Lalpani Bridge Anandpur on Shoghi-Mehli bypass road. The car was coming from Shoghi to Mehli.
The deceased have been identified as Jai Singh Negi (40), Rupa Suryavanshi (45) wife of Bhagwan Das, Kumari Pragati (14) daughter of Bhagwan Das (all three residents of Janaki Niwas Motorward Navbahar) and Mukul (10) son of Hetram and Jai Singh Negi (40) son of Padam Dev resident of Ambika Cottage Omkar Lodge Sanjauli.
According to the police, the four people were going somewhere in a car, HP07-D-1154. Jai Singh Negi was driving the vehicle. As soon as the information about the incident was received, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Police and Home Guard jawans reached the spot and by late night took out the bodies of the four deceased from the ditch. At present, the cause of the accident is not known. The accident was so dangerous that the vehicle was completely shattered.
The post-mortem of the bodies of the deceased will be conducted today at IGMC Shimla. After this the bodies will be handed over to the family members.
