UP Road Accident News Truck and double decker bus collide on Yamuna Expressway in Aligarh

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh): A major road accident has occurred in the Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Five people have died in the incident, while more than 15 have been injured. The injured have been hospitalized, and the police have arrived at the scene to begin an investigation.

According to reports, the accident happened late Wednesday night around 1 a.m. in the area under the jurisdiction of the Tappal police station on the Yamuna Expressway. A truck collided with a double-decker bus, resulting in the deaths of five passengers and injuring 15 others.

The double-decker bus, operated by Krishna Travels from Pratapgarh, was traveling from Delhi to Azamgarh and Mau. As the bus reached the 56-point mark on the Yamuna Expressway, it collided with a truck from behind.

The front of the bus was severely damaged in the crash. Among the deceased, there is a woman named Parul (25), her five-month-old son Arohi, and Hasmukh Saroj from Pratapgarh, along with two unidentified individuals. The deceased include one woman, three men, and an infant.

It is being reported that the bus was traveling at a high speed on the expressway when the driver suddenly lost control. After the collision with the truck, the front section of the bus was badly damaged. The moment of the accident caused panic, and people inside the bus started screaming. Passengers were rescued by breaking the windows of the bus.

At the time of the accident, all passengers were asleep, and suddenly, they felt a strong jolt. Those sitting in the front seats died on the spot, while those seated in the back suffered injuries. The bus was overcrowded with passengers. Upon receiving news of the accident, local police quickly arrived at the scene. They worked alongside others to rescue passengers trapped in the damaged bus.
