The action comes amid concerns over the misuse and diversion of domestic cooking gas cylinders for commercial purposes.
Officials stated that strict monitoring and enforcement drives have been carried out across multiple states to curb the illegal trade and ensure fair distribution of LPG to genuine consumers.

Authorities conducted coordinated raids and inspections targeting warehouses, distributors, and illegal storage facilities. These operations uncovered instances where subsidised LPG cylinders were being hoarded or diverted for profit.
