A fire suddenly broke out this afternoon in the shanties situated on a vacant plot in the Trikuta Nagar area of Jammu.
The incident occurred around 12:00 PM, resulting in the complete destruction of three shanties.
During the blaze, two gas cylinders kept inside the shanties exploded, causing panic and chaos in the area. However, no one was present in the shanties at the time, as the migrant laborers residing there had gone out for work.
Locals immediately alerted the Fire Department about the incident; subsequently, two fire tenders arrived at the scene, and after a strenuous effort, the fire was brought under control.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, and the administration is currently investigating the matter.
