Following the incident, SSP Shlok Kumar constituted 17 teams to track down the criminals. On Wednesday, acting on specific intelligence, the police cordoned off the area surrounding the Yamuna Expressway underpass in Taintigaon. The police rushed them to a hospital for treatment, where doctors subsequently declared them dead.
