11 people died in a road accident in Mirzapur, UP on Wednesday night. The trolley carrying ballast from Madhya Pradesh became uncontrollable due to brake failure. The trolley first hit the Swift car, then collided with a truck. The car got stuck between the trolley and the truck.

During this, the Bolero coming from behind entered the trailer. The Bolero caught fire with a loud explosion. Nine people, including the driver, were burnt alive. All the deceased were relatives of each other. Apart from these, the driver of the Swift car and the cleaner of the truck also died. The accident took place in the Drumdganj police station area.
SP Aparna Rajat Kaushik said:
All the people riding the Bolero were residents of Naraina village under Jigna police station. The family was returning from Maihar after shaving the son. An 8-year-old child and his mother also died in the accident. The seriously injured truck cleaner was admitted to the hospital, where he died during treatment. As soon as the information was received, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot and made a rescue.

At 9.30 pm on the Mirzapur-Rewa National Highway, a trolley was carrying gravel from the big turn. Suddenly his brake failed. Meanwhile, a Bolero running behind the trolley was also coming down the slope. Then the uncontrollable trolley collided with a truck while trampling the Swift car. Then the Bolero coming from behind collided with the trolley.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so severe that the Bolero caught fire immediately. Due to the fire, all the passengers in the Bolero were trapped inside and burnt alive. After the accident, there was a scream on the spot. Locals quickly started rescue work. But no one could be saved due to the strong fire.
As soon as the incident was reported, SP Aparna Rajat Kaushik, CO Lalganj Amar Bahadur and the force of Lalganj and Halia police stations also reached the spot. The fire was brought under control with the help of the fire brigade.

According to the Mirzapur DM, Arun Singh’s family, a resident of Naraina under Jigna police station in Mirzapur, had gone to Maihar for his son Shiva’s (7) tonsure ceremony. In the accident, Shiva and his mother Vandana Singh (38) also died. In addition, family members Veena Singh (47), son Piyush Singh (15), and daughter Sonam also lost their lives.
Priyanka (42), Kartikeya (18), Pankaj Singh (40), Sonam (9), and Vishnu (Bolero driver, resident of Rampur), who were traveling in a Bolero, burned alive. Priyanka Singh and Kartikeya Singh were from Madhya Pradesh and had come to attend the tonsure ceremony. Meanwhile, the deceased Jay Prakash (27), traveling in a Swift car, was from Sonbhadra. The truck cleaner Vikas was also a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
