Mohali, April 6: A bomb threat via email created panic at the Mohali court complex, and authorities took immediate action. As soon as they received the information, the police and security agencies treated the situation as serious and followed emergency procedures to ensure the public’s safety.
Court Complex Evacuated and Entry Closed
The entire court complex was evacuated as a precaution. Lawyers, staff and visitors were asked to leave the court immediately. Entry and exit were sealed and access to the court was temporarily closed until around 3 PM while security checks were being conducted.
Search Operation Finds Nothing Suspicious
Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs thoroughly checked the area. After a detailed search, no explosive or suspicious object was found. Officials suspect the threat could be a hoax, but investigations are still ongoing to trace the source of the email.
CM Mann Assures Strict Action
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said the government is not taking such threats lightly. He assured that public safety is the top priority and strict action will be taken against those responsible for creating panic.

In recent times, similar bomb threats have been reported at schools and public places in Punjab. While many of them later turned out to be false alarms, authorities continue to follow strict security protocols in every case.
