In Mohali, a drunken husband has killed his own wife. They had married two months ago. The deceased had injury marks on her head and face. The deceased has been identified as Radhika (29), while the accused has been identified as Ravi (32). The police reached the spot, took possession of the body, and kept it in the morgue of the civil hospital for postmortem.
Attack with a sharp weapon
According to information, Radhika was murdered on Monday evening. The neighbours got information about the incident on Tuesday, after which they informed the police. The postmortem will be done on Wednesday. Phase 11 police have registered a case against the accused husband on charges of murder and have started investigating the matter.
Radhika’s neighbours said that Ravi had drunk a lot of alcohol on Monday evening and had a fight with his wife, who used to stop him from drinking alcohol. Ravi killed Radhika by hitting her on the head with a sharp weapon. When the husband and wife had a fight on Monday, the people around informed the police. The police reached the spot but no one opened the door of Radhika’s house, due to which the police personnel went back.
When the mother arrived, the dead body was lying on the bed
The accused Ravi has an elder brother Sonu, who is mentally disturbed. He was at home at the time of the incident, while Ravi’s mother had gone to meet her daughter. When Ravi’s mother arrived in the morning, she saw Radhika lying on the bed covered in blood. Ravi’s mother called a Bengali doctor nearby, who told her that she was dead.
