Mukhed, August 18: Heavy rain has started in Nanded district since this morning. Cloudburst-like rains that occurred in Mukhed taluka this morning have caused havoc in many villages. Flood situation has arisen in many villages in the area including Bhingoli, Bhendegaon, Hasnal, Ravangaon, Bhaswadi, Sangvi Bhadev. The administration has informed that more than a hundred people are stranded in three villages in Mukhed.
More than 100 people are stranded in Hasnal, Ravangaon, Bhaswadi in Mukhed taluka. Cloudburst rain and water from the Lendhi project entered the village in the morning. The army has been called as a precaution as the situation is likely to become serious due to the rain alert. The administration has informed that a contingent of the army has left from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
The rain disaster has completely disrupted normal life. The SDRF team has evacuated those trapped in the flood, the women who came out cried out. Rescue work is underway to evacuate people trapped in other villages as well. Meanwhile, some people are trapped in Hasnal and Ravangaon. On the other hand, a car stuck in Itgyal was evacuated.

Soybean has suffered major damage. Meanwhile, farmers have demanded immediate assistance by declaring the submerged areas.
