Some devotees were trapped in the traveller itself. Passersby and police took them out after a lot of effort.
Injured admitted to hospital
With the help of ambulance, the police admitted the injured devotees to the Civil Hospital of Ambala Cantt and to the Adesh Medical College in Shahabad. At the same time, the dead bodies were kept in the mortuary for postmortem.
