Chattarpur: Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of the Indian Navy, inaugurated the Indian Navy Outreach Pavilion at Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University on Sunday. The event was attended by State Minister of Higher Education Inder Singh Parmar and Vice Chancellor Professor Shubha Tiwari.
This initiative aims to engage and inspire youth to consider careers in the Indian defense forces while promoting maritime awareness in the region. Admiral Tripathi emphasized the Indian Navy’s crucial role in safeguarding India’s maritime interests and encouraged students to pursue fulfilling careers in defense, contributing to nation-building and the vision of a developed India.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned three “Made in India” naval combatants—INS Surat, INS Nilgiri, and INS Vaghsheer—marking a historic moment as a destroyer, frigate, and submarine were commissioned simultaneously into the Indian Navy.
Minister Parmar shared details on X about the event, highlighting the inauguration of the Tilak Navy Hall following the university’s fourth convocation. He noted that the Navy is providing significant support for the educational development of the university, which has received approval to establish a state-of-the-art Indian Navy Enclosure in the Tilak Navy Hall. This facility will feature modern technology, including interactive panels and electronic podiums, along with various Navy models and educational materials. The goal is to educate students about the Navy’s operations, its contributions to the nation, and the career opportunities available within the Indian Navy.
