Army starts patrolling on India-China border, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju met Chinese soldiers

Ladakh: The Indian Army has started patrolling on the India-China border in eastern Ladakh. Currently, Demchok is being monitored. Patrolling will start soon on Depsang. There was an agreement between the armies of both the countries to withdraw from these two areas. The process of deescalation was completed on 30 October.

Yesterday, on the occasion of Diwali, officers of both the countries fed sweets to each other and wished each other on the Line of Control (LOC) adjoining Hot Springs, Karakoram Pass, Daulat Beg Oldi, Kongkla and Chushul-Moldo in eastern Ladakh.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju spoke to Chinese soldiers at Bumla Pass in Arunachal Pradesh. Rijiju also posted a video of this on social media X.

On the agreement between India and China regarding patrolling on the LAC, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had said on October 27 that the withdrawal of troops is the first step. The next step is to reduce tension. This tension will reduce only when India is convinced that China also wants the same. After reducing the tension, discussions will be held on how to manage the border.
