Breaking: Atishi to be the New Chief Minister of Delhi

New Delhi: The recent development coming from the AAP’s legislative party meeting is that Minister Atishi has been chosen for the post of Chief Minister. In the meeting, CM Kejriwal proposed the name of Delhi Minister Atishi as his successor. The official announcement will be made soon by the party.

Meeting of the legislative party was held in which Atishi’s name was proposed by the CM Arvind Kejriwal himself. The proposal has been accepted and now Delhi Minister Atishi will replace the CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Two days after the announcement of resignation from the Chief Minister’s post, CM Arvind Kejriwal will tender his resignation today. As per the information available, Delhi CM will meet Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at 4.30 pm. After the meeting, he will give his resignation and new name for the post of CM will be proposed.

Day before numerous meetings were held which included one-to-one meetings of PAC members with Arvind Kejriwal. .

Amid the buzz of who will be Arvind Kejriwal’s successor, various names such as Atishi, Kailash Gehlot, Gopal Rai and Sunita Kejriwal were floating.  The swearing-in of the new CM and cabinet will also take place this week. The speculations have ended as Atishi has been chosen as the new Chief Minister of Delhi.

After getting bail from the Supreme Court in the liquor policy case on September 13, Kejriwal had announced to leave the post of Chief Minister on September 15. Terming ‘Agnipariksha’ he said that he would hold the post only after the support of people.
