In a shocking incident in the Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh, three minors aged 6, 13, and 16, who are children of two tenants, have been accused of raping the five-year-old daughter of their landlord. The local police have registered a case in the Kotwali area of Ballia and have begun an investigation into the allegations.

Superintendent of Police Vikrant Veer reported that the mother of the victim filed a complaint stating that her daughter had been molested by the three tenants’ children. Following her complaint, the police have initiated legal proceedings against these minors. The crime scene has been examined with assistance from a forensic team, and action is being taken based on the identification of the alleged perpetrators.

In a broader context, the Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is emphasizing its crackdown on crime. The Prosecution Directorate of UP Police has successfully prosecuted over 80,000 criminals, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering justice and addressing various offenses in state courts. The Chief Minister commended the police for effectively managing serious crimes and ensuring accountability.

According to government records, the Directorate has secured death sentences for 54 individuals in cases involving women, while around 28,700 others have been convicted for serious offenses, including sexual assault and violations under the POCSO Act, over the last seven and a half years.
