By-elections to held from May 26 to 29 in 14 municipal bodies and panchayats of Rajasthan

Jaipur, May 5: Voting will be held for by-elections between May 26 and May 29 on the seats of public representatives that have fallen vacant in various urban bodies (Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, Nagar Palika), Zila Parishad, Panchayat Samitis and Gram Panchayats in Rajasthan till January 31. The State Election Commission has released the schedule for these elections. Its notification will be issued on May 9 and 12.

According to the schedule released by the commission, elections will be held for 14 municipal bodies of the state, one district head, 2 Pradhans, one deputy Pradhan, 9 Zilla Parishad members, 18 Panchayat Samiti members, 18 Sarpanchs, 15 Deputy Sarpanchs and Ward Panchs in 169 Gram Panchayats.

Panchayat elections will be held in these places

Elections will be held for District Head (Ganganagar), District Council Member (Ganganagar Ward 16, Sirohi Ward 18, Rajsamand Ward 1, Pratapgarh Ward 13, Jhalawar Ward 5, Dungarpur Ward 9, 12, Dholpur Ward 9, Alwar Ward 29), Pradhan (Panchayat Samiti Kalyanpur {Barmer}, Sapotra {Karauli}) and Deputy Pradhan (Panchayat Samiti Ghatol {Banswara})

Panchayat election schedule

As per the schedule, nominations for the election of Zila Parishad member, Panchayat Samiti member, Ward Panch and Sarpanch will be filled from May 9 and voting will be held on May 26. Voting for the Deputy Sarpanch will be conducted on May 27. Voting for the District Chief, Pradhan will be conducted on May 28 and for the Deputy Pradhan on May 29.
