Cash for query case: LS Ethics committee asks Mohua Moitra to appear on Nov 2 instead of Oct 31

National desk:  On the request of the TMC MP Mohua Moitra, the Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha, which is probing the allegations against  her for taking money and asking questions in Parliament, has now asked her to appear before the committee on November 2 at 11 am instead of October 31 and present the facts in her defense. Earlier, the panel of Lok Sabha, asked questions to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai.

In the letter, the Ethics Committee has also made it clear in the letter written to Mahua Moitra that due to the seriousness of the matter and it being a matter related to the respect of Parliament  any request of Mahua Moitra to extend this date will not be accepted by the committee.

But, Mahua Moitra on Friday wrote a letter to Ethics Committee Chairman Vinod Sonkar saying that she cannot come to Delhi before November 4 due to already scheduled programs in her parliamentary constituency, hence the committee will can her to appear any time after November 5.
