Congress worker murder case: Police finds bite marks, scratches on hands of accused

Haryana: Police revealed that bite marks and scratches were found on the hands of the accused arrested in connection to the murder of Congress worker Himani Narwal. The accused, identified as Sachin, reportedly claimed that Himani had bitten his hand in self-defense. Sources also revealed that the accused had taken Himani’s gold chain and rings before disposing of her body. Additionally, a piece of jewelry was found in the possession of the accused, and authorities are investigating whether he used the jewelry as collateral for a loan.

On Monday, the police arrested a suspect in the murder case, prompting the deceased’s brother, Jatin, to demand the death penalty for the accused. Speaking to ANI, Jatin stated, “One accused has been arrested, and today we will cremate her (Himani). A lot of rumors are circulating in the media, and I urge them not to spread misinformation. We will get justice. We still don’t know the identity of the accused as the police have not provided us with any details. We want the death penalty for the accused.”

Himani’s uncle, Ravinder, also demanded justice, saying, “Whoever the accused is, we want justice. We will not cremate her until the accused’s identity is revealed. We have had no contact with the police.”

Himani Narwal’s body was found stuffed in a suitcase near a highway in Rohtak on March 1. Earlier, her mother suggested that her daughter’s rising prominence within the Congress party might have led to her making enemies, which may have contributed to her murder. She expressed that the election and the party could be responsible for her daughter’s death, speculating that the culprits could be from within the party or even her circle of friends.
