New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta hosted a ‘Jan-Milan Samaroh’ at her home on Monday, where many gathered to congratulate her on her new role as Chief Minister of the national capital.
On Sunday, CM Gupta expressed her commitment to developing Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She paid homage to former Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana, acknowledging his contributions to the city’s development. “I am here to honor the late Madan Lal Khurana, who is still remembered in Delhi. The groundwork for the city’s development was laid during his tenure, and I seek his blessings,” she stated to reporters.
Gupta promised to complete the unfinished projects from Khurana’s time, emphasizing the BJP’s return to power after 27 years. She remarked on the party’s long struggle, pointing out the corruption scandals that plagued Delhi under previous Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) governments. “This victory is the culmination of years of effort. Over the last 27 years during the BJP’s absence, Delhi faced numerous scams from both Congress and AAP. While they engaged in corruption, we stood against it, enduring violence for the sake of the people of Delhi,” she noted.
CM Gupta acknowledged the significant work ahead for the National Capital.
