Delhi CM Rekha Gupta meets veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi at his residence in the capital. In a separate event, she emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in keeping Delhi clean and pollution-free, stating, “If we want to make Delhi successful and develop it, we must all commit to not littering. If you resolve today not to throw garbage on the streets, I assure you that you’ll have a Delhi worth living in, and you won’t feel the need to move to Gurgaon or NCR.”

Earlier, Gupta criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for making a fuss over the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, which highlighted a Rs 2,000 crore loss linked to the AAP government’s liquor policy. She described their reactions as mere theatrics to deflect attention from the facts presented in the report. “I will ensure that not a single penny from the state treasury goes to waste,” she asserted.

Gupta further accused AAP of misusing Delhi’s tax revenues to fund election campaigns in other states, claiming that the release of the CAG reports has left AAP leaders shaken. “They collected taxes from Delhi and used them for elections elsewhere… We are systematically releasing the CAG reports, which has made them nervous. They can’t even face us in the assembly and confront their actions,” she added.
