New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police seized over 560 kg of cocaine worth nearly Rs 2,000 crore following raid in South Delhi. Delhi Police have called it as one of the largest drug busts in the capital. The drugs were recovered in South Delhi, leading to the arrest of four individuals. It is learnt that the Special Cell of Delhi police carried out the raid in South Delhi and seized over 560 kg of cocaine.
It is believed to be part of an international drug syndicate supplying narcotics to high-profile parties. Yet, the officials have not disclosed further information about this seizure but this is the largest cocaine seizure ever in Delhi.
Authorities are interrogating the arrested suspects, and it is suspected that this international drug syndicate is being run by Afghan nationals in New Delhi.
A similar raid was conducted just a few days ago on Saturday and the police had arrested two Afghan nationals recovering 400g heroin and 160g cocaine from their possession.
The big seizure of 560 kg cocaine worth Rs 2000 crore is being linked to the previous raid which was conducted in Tilak Nagar. However, the officials are yet to provide the entire details about this raid.
