Delhi High Court likely to pronounce verdict on Arvind Kejriwal’s bail

New Delhi: There may be a hearing in the High Court regarding the bail of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Earlier, there was a hearing in the High Court on 21 June. While hearing the petition of ED, the vacation bench had stayed the bail till the verdict of the court was pronounced. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court said that we will give the verdict by 24-25 June. Till then the bail will be stayed.

Arvind Kejriwal got bail

On June 20 at 8 pm, Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal. The bench of Judge Nyay Bindu had said that ED does not have any direct evidence against Arvind Kejriwal. The court granted bail to Kejriwal on a bail bond of 1 lakh.

On June 21, ED filed a petition in Delhi High Court against the decision of the lower court. In the bench of Justice Sudhir Jain and Justice Ravinder Dudeja, ED lawyer SV Raju said – The decision of the lower court is not correct. We did not get enough time to present arguments.

ASG SV Raju on behalf of ED, Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vikram Chaudhary on behalf of Kejriwal presented arguments for about 5 hours. The bench reserved the decision after 5 hours of hearing and asked all the lawyers to submit written arguments by June 24.

On the other hand, Kejriwal reached the Supreme Court on Sunday demanding bail. His lawyers have demanded a hearing on this on June 24 i.e. today. However, no update has come out yet regarding the hearing in the Supreme Court.
