SC: Directs IIT Delhi Director to form expert panel, report submit by noon tomorrow

New Delhi: During the hearing of the NEET case, the Supreme Court said that question number 19 of Physics with two correct options should be investigated. By giving two correct options, 44 students got bonus marks, and 4.2 lakh candidates suffered. The opinion of experts from IIT Delhi should be taken on this. The court ordered that the Director of IIT Delhi should form a 3-member expert committee to investigate the question with two answers. The expert team should choose one correct option from them and send its opinion to the registrar by noon.

Apart from this, the CJI has asked the petitioners to email a written submission of arguments in favor of the NEET UG retest in half a page by Monday evening.

The hearing on more than 40 petitions in the Supreme Court in the case of NEET irregularities ended before the bench of CJI DY Chandrachud. This was the fourth hearing. The next hearing will be held tomorrow, i.e., on Tuesday.

Senior advocate Narendra Hooda, along with Sanjay Hegde and Mathews Nedumpara, is arguing on behalf of the petitioners, while Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta is arguing on behalf of the NTA and the Center.

In the NEET-UG 24 exam, candidates had to choose the correct option for a question. For this, two correct options were suggested. The opinion of experts from IIT Delhi should be taken on this. We request the Director of IIT Delhi to form a team of three experts and report on this subject. Choose the correct option and send the opinion to the registrar by noon.
