‘Emergency’ at Thiruvananthapuram airport as Air India flight reports bomb threat, passengers evacuated

Thiruvananthapuram: In a shocking incident, full emergency has been declared here at the Thiruvananthapuram Airport. The emergency was reported after Air India flight 657 reported a bomb threat. The flight that was bound to Thiruvananthapuram from Mumbai reported a bomb threat today around 07.30 am.

A full emergency was declared after a bomb threat was received. After the landing, the flight was sent in the isolation bay. As per reports the passengers in the flight are evacuated by the officials.

In the official statement issued by the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, it was said that, ‘Air India flight (Mumbai to Thiruvananthapuram) reported a bomb threat at 0730 hours today. A full emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport at 0736 hours. The aircraft landed safely. It is now parked at the Isolation Bay, where the evacuation process has begun.
