Jalandhar: Farmers’ protest is directly affecting the business of Punjab. Due to closure of roads leading to Delhi and other state, neither raw material is coming into Punjab nor finished goods are going out, due to which both the industry and trade of Punjab are being affected.
Due to non-availability of raw material, people working in factories are also being affected.
Laborers and artisans are sitting free in factories without work. Industrialists say that on one hand, production is not happening in their units, the artisans and laborers are having to be paid salaries without any work. Due to which they are facing double blow.
Industrialists and businessmen have appealed to both the government and the farmers to sit together and resolve their issues. Both farmers anf centre govt disputes, not only the common man but also the traders are facing problems. Industrialists say that their finished goods which used to go through direct route, are now having to send them through other long distance routes. Due to which they also have to face expensive transport.
