Prayagraj: A fire broke out once again in the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela premises on Monday afternoon. The fire brigade personnel have brought the fire in Sector-8 under control.
There was a fire in the camp of Shri Kapi Manas Mandal and Consumer Protection Committee. Two tents were burnt in both the camps. Chief Fire Officer Pramod Kumar Sharma said – It was a small fire. It was immediately brought under control. There was no loss of life.
There is a huge crowd in Maha Kumbh today. By 4 pm, 1.08 crore devotees have taken bath. All the 7 entry points of Prayagraj are jammed. Due to the crowd, Sangam station in Daraganj has been closed till 26 February. The duty of the officers posted in Maha Kumbh has been extended till 27 February.
The entry of vehicles in the fair area has been stopped again. All types of passes have been cancelled. The route of 19 trains passing through Prayagraj has been changed. Vehicles are being stopped in the parking lot built 10-12 km before Sangam, due to which people have to go to Sangam on foot.
BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut will be at Maha Kumbh today and will take a dip in Sangam. Apart from this, the governors of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tripura and West Bengal will also take a dip in Sangam.
Today, about 10 thousand people will create a world record of hand printing in 8 hours at Ganga Pandal. On Sunday, there was a 15 km long jam on Prayagraj-Rewa highway. Long queues of vehicles were also seen on the roads of Lucknow, Kanpur and Jaunpur. Passengers were also seen sitting and lying on the ground at the airport.
