New Delhi: The ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ initiative is steadily gaining traction, encouraging people to prioritize fitness and adopt healthier lifestyles. Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya remarked that the initiative is evolving into a festival-like atmosphere.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya are at the forefront of promoting the ‘Fit India’ movement, which aims to foster a culture of fitness and well-being throughout the country.
Mandaviya expressed his excitement about the initiative’s expanding success: “The ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ is becoming a festival, with cycling events taking place nationwide, each with a unique theme every Sunday. I am delighted to see doctors from Delhi and across the country participating in cycling on Sundays to share their message. To combat obesity, we must maintain a balanced diet. A disciplined approach to nutrition will contribute to a healthier India and a more robust fight against obesity.”

Cyclist Mahesh Kumar highlighted the importance of fitness, stating, “Fitness is crucial for everyone, as highlighted in our Vedas. Paralympic bronze medalist shooter Rubina Francis praised the initiative, noting, “As an athlete, I recognize that the ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ campaign is highly beneficial for the younger generation. People from diverse fields are uniting for this cause, and I am here to lend my support. This government initiative effectively raises awareness among future generations and motivates them toward fitness.”
