Four killed as car rams into truck on Hyderabad ORR

Hyderabad: On Friday morning, a tragic accident on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) resulted in four deaths and one injury. The incident involved a car crashing into a stationary truck near Adibatla in Rangareddy District, Telangana. Three of the victims died instantly, while the injured person later succumbed to their injuries at a hospital. The car was severely crushed in the collision, and authorities had difficulty extracting the bodies from the wreckage.

The victims, all employees at a resort in Moinabad, were identified as Maloth Chandu Lal (29), Gaguloth Janardhan (50), Kavali Balaraju (40), and Jada Krishna (42). The injured individual, admitted to a hospital in BN Reddy Nagar, is in critical condition. According to police, the accident occurred when the car hit the stationary truck from behind near the Bongulur exit on the ORR. The truck driver fled the scene after the collision. The car was traveling from Pedda Amberpet to Bonguluru, and rain at the time likely reduced visibility, causing the driver to overlook the parked truck near pillar number 108. Police from Adibatla and Ibrahimpatnam stations of the Rachakonda police jurisdiction arrived promptly, and a case has been registered for further investigation.

Additionally, heavy overnight rains in Chevella and Moinabad mandals caused flooding in low-lying areas, disrupting road connectivity to several villages. The road connecting Bakaram to Nagireddyguda was completely submerged. These rains damaged crops significantly, leaving farmers devastated. Locals attributed the flooding around Yerraguntla Lake in Bakaram to encroachments that blocked flood-carrying canals, which contributed to the inundation of the Bakaram-Nagireddyguda road.
