Patiala : A 10-year-old girl died due to health deterioration after eating her birthday cake, while five members of the family are hospitalized.
In this regard, Anaj Mandi police station has registered a case against a bakery located at Pili Sadak.
According to the family of deceased Manvi, the cake was cut on the night of March 24 to celebrate Manvi’s birthday. The cake was ordered online. Soon after eating it, five members of the family became ill. Two girls started vomiting. Late at night Manvi asked her grandmother for water twice and drank it and fell asleep but she did not wake up again.
In the morning, when the family saw, his body was cold. Anaj Mandi police chief Gurmeet Singh said that a case has been registered against the unknown owner of the bakery on the complaint of the family. The actual cause of death can be known after the post-mortem report.
The girl’s family alleges that after the girl’s death, they went to the health department office to check the cake, but nothing was heard. Kajal, the girl’s mother, said that March 24 was the girl’s birthday. So they ordered the cake online.
At seven o’clock in the evening, cake was cut and everyone ate, after which the health of the family started to deteriorate. Seeing Manvi’s health getting worse, they took him to the hospital at four in the morning where the doctors declared her dead.
