Dehradun, May 15: E-charging facility has been provided at 25 places for electric vehicles on the Char Dham Yatra routes. Electric vehicles are being encouraged to travel for environmental protection and the Green Char Dham Yatra.
Therefore, this time the government has made arrangements for e-charging at different places on the travel routes. Due to this, the number of electric vehicles in the journey is increasing day by day.
CM had given instructions for travel operations on the theme of Green Yatra
In fact, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to organise the Chardham Yatra on the theme of Green Yatra this time. In this sequence, 38 e-vehicle charging stations are being developed on the Chardham Yatra route with the cooperation of the Transport Department and THDC.
Out of these, 25 stations have been started till the start of the journey, where passengers are easily getting their e-vehicles charged. Most of these charging stations have been set up in GMVN property.
Universal chargers of 60 kW capacity have been installed at each station. These include two charging guns of 30 kW each.
Most of the e-charging is installed outside GMVN hotels
GMVN MD Vishal Mishra said that e-charging stations have been set up at the main stops to promote Green Chardham Yatra.
So that travellers are encouraged to use electric vehicles. In Rudraprayag district alone, charging stations have been set up at four GMVN guest houses run by the tourism department.
