Hapur (Uttar Pradesh): A man’s body was discovered near Anand Vihar colony in Hapur on Sunday morning. The victim has been identified as Ankit Kumar, who was reportedly murdered with a deep cut on his throat from a sharp weapon, according to local police.
Investigations are underway, with police and forensic teams at the scene. Hapur Superintendent of Police, Kunwar Gyananjay Singh, stated that Ankit had left his home at night while on a phone call. His body was later found near Amar Vihar Colony.
“The deceased is Ankit Kumar. He left home at night while talking on the phone, and his body was found today. A sharp weapon was used to inflict a cut on his neck. The forensics team is currently on-site, and a SWAT team has also been summoned. We are taking action following the registration of an FIR, and we expect to solve the case soon,” he said.
