Haryana: Anil Vij targets Congress, issues warning to officials

BJP senior leader Anil Vij announced on Saturday that the newly formed government will kick off its initiatives by inaugurating an escalator at the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment on Monday. He urged officials to accelerate ongoing development projects, noting that inspections have already started after the elections.

Vij cautioned officers, emphasizing that those who embrace the motto “I have worked and I will work” will be retained. Responding to Congress’s protest over the Haryana government’s penalties for burning farm waste, he remarked that the party was just now waking from a long slumber. “Now Hooda Sahib is finally awakening. We’ll act in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directives,” he added.

He remarked that Congress needs to serve the public for the next five years, as they have been rejected by voters. He also commented on Captain Ajay Yadav’s resignation from Congress roles, suggesting that the party’s situation is dire and could lead to more resignations. “It looks like Congress’s ‘shop’ is about to close,” he claimed.

Vij spoke about the BJP’s ‘membership campaign,’ asserting that the party is organizationally strong and that only active members are eligible for positions. He mocked the disarray within Congress, saying their leaders, who once competed for the Chief Minister role, are now fighting for the position of opposition leader. He concluded with a sharp remark, stating, “A doctor who cannot read the pulse of the people should close his clinic.”
